Watch Us Repair A Sewer Line Break
Recently we had a call to fix a sewer line break. So today we decided to show you how we repair your sewer line if this ever happens to you. As you can see in the video, there was a break in the three-to-four-inch female pipe used for this sewer line which we discovered near the cleanout pipe. To start, we removed the old two-way cleanout pipe, then fitted it and replaced it with a new hub. We then maneuvered the new piece, ensuring it is level and added primer to fuse together the existing pieces that were still in good condition. To fix the leak, we replaced the broken female pipe with a new one and added the appropriate connectors. Since the area is tight, pieces had to be carefully manipulated. After the replacement is complete, we added an extension to the two-way cleanout which allows access to the cleanout above grade. At the top of this piece, we’ll later add a coupler that allows us to screw in a plug for easy access. If this person ever has any other issues, we will be able to utilize this extension to run our camera, auger, or even our hydro jetter down the main trunk line to clean out the issue. It will also allow us to see if there are any breaks from trees without having to dig up the line right away. If you have any questions about this or any plumbing needs, please feel free to reach out to us. We would be happy to help in any way.
